Introduction
Ulink College (领科教育) is one of the oldest A-Level school groups in mainland China. A Chinese educator, Liang Xun’an (梁洵安), founded it. He began working with Cambridge in 2003. The first campus opened in Guangzhou in 2004.
Today, Ulink College runs four main campuses. They sit in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, and Suzhou. All four operate as boarding schools teaching British Cambridge courses. The Shanghai campus also offers the IB Diploma and a SABIS programme. Ulink delivers a broad educational experience across four cities and six curricula.

Ulink College at a Glance
Ulink College (领科教育) is a group of British-curriculum schools in China.
Founder Liang Xun’an started it with Cambridge in 2003.
The group brand is Ulink Group (优联集团). It is not one single company.
The Guangzhou flagship is funded through Guangdong Ulink Education (广东优联教育服务有限公司).
Four campuses run today: Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, and Suzhou.
IGCSE/A-Level curricula form the core at all four campuses, with IB, SABIS, and AP at selected sites.
Accreditors include Cambridge (CAIE), Pearson Edexcel, the IB (IBO), and CIS.
Tuition runs from about RMB 168,000 to RMB 248,000 at the four main campuses. OVIS in Wuhan starts at RMB 85,000.
Ulink also runs two schools in Wuhan under the 光谷康桥 name.
Who Runs Ulink College?
Ulink College is not one single company. It is a family of schools under one brand. That brand is Ulink Group (优联集团). The founder, Liang Xun’an, built it over more than 20 years.
Each campus holds its own school licence. There is no single parent company that owns all four. In practice, Ulink works like a brand federation. The schools share a name, a founder, and a Cambridge focus. But separate local entities run them.
The Guangzhou flagship shows how this works. Its British high school, ULC (ULC剑桥国际高中), is funded through a company called Guangdong Ulink Education (广东优联教育服务有限公司). The Guangzhou Education Bureau names Ulink Group (优联集团) as the group behind it. The Shanghai campus, by contrast, is registered under a separate Shanghai entity.
There is a clear pattern across the group. Ulink often runs as a course brand inside a larger host school. In Guangzhou, the ULC British track now sits inside a licensed school called Guangzhou Ulink International School (GUIS). In its early years, the Shanghai campus ran inside Shanghai Normal University. In Wuhan, the school dropped 领科 from its Chinese name, yet its English name still reads ULINK.
Cambridge has recognised the group’s work. In July 2012, Cambridge gave Liang Xun’an and Ulink its “Outstanding Contribution Award.” He remains the only person in China to receive it.
A Short History
Liang Xun’an partners with Cambridge. He starts an international exchange college in Shenzhen (深圳教育国际交流学院).
The first campus opens in Guangzhou, inside South China Normal University, as the 华南师范大学国际预科中心.
The Shanghai campus opens, inside Shanghai Normal University, as the 上海师范大学剑桥国际中心.

Shanghai — The Flagship
Ulink College of Shanghai (领科教育上海校区) is the group’s largest and most complete campus. It opened in 2005. You will find it at 559 South Laiting Road, Songjiang. The campus has four divisions: IGCSE, A-Level, IB curriculum, and SABIS.
Its results are strong. In 2025, 294 students graduated. They received 15 Oxbridge offers — 5 from Oxford and 10 from Cambridge. In total, the class earned 1,170 offers from 101 universities across six countries and regions.
Extracurricular activities complement the academic programme across all four campuses, and Shanghai runs the widest range given its size and multiple curriculum tracks.

Guangzhou (ULC) — The Founding Campus
Ulink College Guangzhou is where Ulink began, back in 2004. Its British high school is called ULC (ULC剑桥国际高中). In 2024, the school reorganised. ULC and its American track, NCPA (NCPA美式高中), joined one licensed school: 广州市优联外籍人员子女学校, also known as Guangzhou Ulink International School (GUIS). You will find it at 8 Weili Road, Nansha.
Guangzhou Ulink International School (GUIS) is a school for expats’ children and foreign families in Guangdong. It admits foreign-passport holders and Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan families. It has also opened its doors to children of returning overseas talent. About 1,300 students study there now.

Beijing
Ulink College of Beijing (领科教育北京校区) opened in 2010. It sits in Haidian district, at 21 Jushan Road. Cambridge authorised it in 2011. The high school section at this campus focuses on IGCSE and A-Level. It runs as a course centre rather than a stand-alone licensed school.
Suzhou
Ulink High School of Suzhou Industrial Park opened in 2010, in Suzhou Industrial Park. It is now called 苏州工业园区领科高级中学. It holds both Cambridge and Pearson Edexcel authorisation. The high school section at Suzhou offers IGCSE/A-Level curricula alongside Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Tuition is about RMB 168,000 per year — the lowest of the four campuses.
Courses at Ulink
The language of instruction across all Ulink campuses is English. Ulink teaches three main international systems. Cambridge courses form the core. The Ulink A-Level track is its flagship pathway. The IB and SABIS options sit at the Shanghai campus.
Cambridge IGCSE — for ages 14 to 16. It builds the base for A-Level. All four campuses teach it.
Cambridge A-Level — for ages 16 to 19. Students use it to apply to universities worldwide. All campuses teach it.
IB curriculum — at the Shanghai campus only, since 2018.
SABIS — at Shanghai only, since 2022. It runs as a four-year high school track.
Advanced Placement (AP) — offered at the Suzhou campus.
The Shanghai campus lists 37 subjects in total. That includes 18 IGCSE subjects and 19 A-Level subjects.

Ulink holds several official approvals. They come from well-known exam boards and school bodies.
Cambridge (CAIE) — all four campuses.
Pearson Edexcel — the Guangzhou and Suzhou campuses.

Ulink also became China’s first Cambridge PDQ teacher-training centre, in 2015.

Ulink is known for academic excellence and strong university results. The group shares these figures.

About 60% of UK-bound students reach a G5 university, including QS Top 10 universities.
In 2025, students won 21 “Top in the World” awards from Cambridge.
The Shanghai campus led the way in 2025. Its class won 15 Oxbridge offers and 1,170 offers in total. Popular UK destinations include Imperial College London, LSE, and UCL. In the United States, students have joined Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, and the University of Michigan.

Only Guangzhou and OVIS publish full fee schedules — treat the other numbers as a guide. Most schools charge extra for boarding, meals, uniforms, textbooks, and exam entries. School fees change often. Always confirm the current figure with the admissions office before you apply.
Other Ulink Schools and Campuses
Ulink’s reach goes beyond its four main campuses. It also runs two schools in Wuhan’s Optics Valley (光谷) district. Both Wuhan schools use the 光谷康桥 name, on separate campuses and separate licences.

Wuhan Optics Valley ULINK School (武汉光谷康桥高级中学)
This is the senior high school. It opened in 2014 as 武汉光谷剑桥国际高中, branded 领科武汉 (Ulink Wuhan). In 2023 it relaunched under a new licence and a new Chinese name: 武汉光谷康桥高级中学. Its English wordmark still reads Optics Valley ULINK School.
Wuhan approved it as a private senior high school (民办普通高中), with room for up to 500 students. That licence matters for families. Chinese national students can enrol, and Wuhan students apply through the city’s high school entrance system, using code 191. The school offers boarding. You will find it on Fozuling Third Road, in the East Lake Hi-Tech Development Zone.
It teaches three tracks. A-Level is its Cambridge route. MPA is a US high school route with Advanced Placement (AP). It also runs a bilingual curriculum system alongside these tracks through its China–Germany class. The school holds Cambridge centre code CN962, Pearson Edexcel centre 94372, and OxfordAQA centre 96185. Its founding company is a Ulink business, 武汉领科立达教育科技发展有限公司.

Wuhan Optics Valley International School (OVIS, 武汉光谷康桥外籍人员子女学校)
OVIS is the sister school. The local district government began the project in 2020. It then asked Ulink to build and run the school. The campus came into use in late 2022, and classes began in spring 2023. It sits on Shendun Fifth Road, in Optics Valley Center City — a separate campus from the high school.
OVIS holds a different kind of licence. Like Guangzhou Ulink International School, it is a school for expats’ children and foreign nationals. It mainly serves foreign families living in Hubei. With approval, it can also admit children from Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. The same applies to children of Chinese citizens settled abroad, and to children of returning overseas talent.
OVIS maintains small class sizes of up to 20 students, with one class per grade. The school uses Montessori in kindergarten, the IPC programme in primary years, and Cambridge Lower Secondary in middle school. From Grade 1, students also register with an accredited American school, through the Cognia system.

Why the Chinese Name Changed from 剑桥 to 康桥
The change came from a naming rule, not a change of owner. Chinese rules on private school names limit the use of famous foreign school names. 剑桥 is the standard Chinese word for Cambridge. The school says it chose 康桥 from its own long-standing motto: 给每个孩子一个梦，给有梦的孩子一座康桥. 康桥 is also an older Chinese spelling of Cambridge, familiar from classic poetry, so the meaning survived the change.
One point avoids a common mix-up. 光谷康桥 is not connected to Kang Chiao International School (康桥国际学校), a separate group with campuses in Kunshan, Xi’an, Hefei, Taizhou, Changshu, and Shengze. Neither Wuhan school appears among the four main campuses on Ulink’s own group website.
Older Projects: Shenzhen, Chengdu, and Shantou
Older Ulink materials mentioned projects in these cities. None of them appear as current, stand-alone Ulink campuses on the group’s main website today. This is normal for a 20-year-old group. Names and partners shift over time. When you research a campus, always check its current, official status.
